Hello Everyone,
After many months, here are the new proposed Governing Documents. Please
have a look at it carefully and if you have any questions about any
section please make a note of it and we will discuss it a Special
General Members Meeting.
The Special Members Meeting has been scheduled for:
Saturday March 8, 2025, 1pm, 117 Gerrard Street East, Party Room
(Southwest corner of Gerrard St and Jarvis St)

Just a reminder that with the recent passing of long time Member Joseph
Poirier who was our ElectedMember for Membership and the resignation of
Aharon from the Secretary
position, the Board is seeking Members who are interested in filling
these roles.

Update on Jake English
It is my sad duty to share that our friend and former Mr Spearhead Bootblack 2010, Bootblack Toronto 2011 and first runner up competing for the title of International Mr.Bootblack – IMBB 2011 Jake English recently passed away in Toronto. Our thoughts are with Jake’s family and friends. May Jake’s memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Below is a link to the obituary. UPDATE on Joe Poirier
Dear SPEARHEAD Membership,
We have just been informed that one of our longest serving members,
Joseph Poirier, has passed away. Joe has been a member since 1979. He
has been an active member as the Elected Member for the Membership
Committee and was the Membership Director for several years. His
passion for raising funds, collecting food and toys for our charities
will be missed.
On behalf of all of us on the Executive, I wish to pass on our deepest
condolences to his family and to all of his friends.
At this time we have no information regarding funeral arrangements which
we shall pass on when they become available.
