Dear SPEARHEAD Membership,

We have just been informed that one of our longest serving members,
Joseph Poirier, has passed away.  Joe has been a member since 1979.  He
has been an active member as the Elected Member for the Membership
Committee and was the Membership Director for several years.  His
passion for raising funds, collecting food and toys for our charities
will be missed.

On behalf of all of us on the Executive, I wish to pass on our deepest
condolences to his family and to all of his friends.

At this time we have no information regarding funeral arrangements which
we shall pass on when they become available.

I wanted to inform you that he has been moved from Toronto General Hospital to Mount Sinai Hospital, 10th floor.

Dear Spearhead Fam,

I want to sincerely apologize for the delay in sharing this important update regarding one of our members, Joe Poirier.

I received a message from Ronald Gullis, who shared that Joe was admitted to Michael Garron Hospital on December 3rd. At this time, Joe is able to receive visitors. If you plan to visit, please keep in mind hospital protocols and ensure you coordinate appropriately to make the experience as smooth as possible for Joe.

Please keep Joe in your thoughts during this challenging time. As we receive more updates, we will ensure they are shared with you promptly.
